The late Coach John Wooden, defined success as follows: “Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.” Success is an attitude. Success requires maximum effort.
Are you as successful as you want to be?
Business Coaching can focus on two separate domains. The 1st domain is the Business Owner, Executive (Government GS-15/SES or C-level), or Leader of a large team. The 2nd domain focuses on the individual employee, their current work circumstances, and their desired career growth/path. Continue reading if your interest is the 1st Domain. If your interest is in the 2nd Domain, click the button to "Skip to Career Coaching".
Okay... you are a business owner, company executive, emerging leader or somebody who plans to be one, two or all three of these at some point in your career. What's the plan? What's YOUR plan?
Like you haven't heard that before. So the question is, have you got them? If so, do you have a plan for developing those people, and most importantly getting them into the RIGHT seat on the bus? Together we can fill your bus through strategies and effective, repeatable and scalable processes.
Got the wrong people on the bus? Think your stuck? Think you can't do anything with the people on your bus? Think again. We've got strategies ...successful strategies ...ones that can resolve or improve your team. Somebody is going to expect you to be successful regardless, so let's work together.
Execution is the carrying out or putting into effect a plan, order, or course of action. It is the next step after creating the inspired vision. It works best when you know how to link together people, develop strategies, and implement tactics to achieve your goals.
Together we can develop those goals, strategies and tactics to execute your plan.
There is a reason why you do what you do. Define it clearly... immerse yourself in it... then create a culture that not only embraces it but takes ownership for it and see your business grow and evolve.
SWOT is an acronym for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It is a structured planning method that we use to evaluate those four elements for a company, contract, task, product, place, industry, or person. The usefulness of SWOT Analysis is not limited to profit-seeking organizations. SWOT Analysis may be used in any decision-making situation when a desired end-state (objective) is defined. It is a useful method for helping teams reach consensus. We also use it as a simple "ice breaker" to help teams coalesce and "kick off" strategy formulation activities.
The most effective leaders are always investing in their strengths. They surround themselves with the right people and then maximize their team. The most effective leaders also understand their followers’ needs. Do you capitalize on people's strengths, talents and abilities, or like many frustrated managers, try only to improve their weak areas? A Coach's job is to develop talent (naturally occurring pattern of thought, feeling or behavior) into a strength, through the application of knowledge and skills. It is from that strength that high performance is realized. We use Don Clifton’s Strengths Based Leadership Program from Gallup with individuals or small groups.
Workplace Wellness programs aim to encourage workers to live a healthier life. Program goals include healthier and more productive employees, increased morale, and reduced spending on employees' care by encouraging employees to take better care of themselves. Wellness programs begin by simply introducing techniques through lunch & learn workshops. Topics include: Stress-Free Living, Life-Balance/Healthy Living, Goal Achievement, Time Management, Conflict Management, etc. Each topic can be a tailored program used to create an entire movement to change the overall work environment so healthy choices become the norm.
When we perform a Custom 360 Survey, the feedback produced allows us to use multiple assessors such as supervisors, peers, direct reports, subordinates and external assessors (clients or vendors) to leave feedback on an employee (business owner, executive, emerging leader, etc.). The feedback is often used as a benchmark within the individual's development plan. It is a self-awareness tool that we use to facilitate team-building and leadership development.
Are you aware of your emotions? Are you able to self-manage, self-regulate, and exercise self-control? Are you aware of the impact you have on others?
How well do you manage all the relationships your life requires? Did you know Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is defined as “the ability to manage ourselves and our relationships with others so we can live our intentions and reach our goals”?
We use Emotional Intelligence 2.0 as the step-by-step program to help you live a life of personal excellence and professional success. The program uses 66 proven strategies and 50 activities to increase your self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management.
Do you and your employees use effective communication?
Soft skills include attitude, communication, creative thinking, work ethic, teamwork, networking, decision making, positivity, time management, motivation, flexibility, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.
